Although dance individually is not a national curriculum subject it does form part of the Physical Education curriculum and is normally an extremely popular activity.

Our coaches’ offer schools the opportunity for pupils to try different styles of dance shown below and lessons often cumulate in a show/performance.

 Contemporary
 Ballet
 Ballroom
 Tap
 Modern
 Irish
 Hip Hop
 Free-Style
 Disco & Jazz
 Musicals e.g. Lion King, High School Musical, Fame
 Street & Break-Dance
 Cheerleading

Pupils learn the skills and techniques as set out in the PE curriculum - rhythum, speed, direction, responding to music and other stimuli, travelling, jumping, turning etc. however the added dance styles help to engage children and provide variety.

All of our dance teachers are talented performers and have a track record working with children. As with all of our coaches’ dance teachers hold enhanced CRB disclosures and first aid certificates.
